History

In 1947, at the age of 19, Bob French started his career in the Trading Post business. In the 56 years since, he has become well-known among the Navajos and collectors as one of the foremost authorities on Navajo Rugs and also one of the most respected. He and his wife, Marilyn, built their store in the Four Corners area community of Waterflow, New Mexico in 1976. In February of 2001 Bob passed away but Marilyn and her son Joel continue to run the business.

At Bob French's Navajo Rugs you will find over six-hundred beautiful Navajo Rugs of every size and color, year-round. We also carry beautiful Navajo-made jewelry, baskets, pottery, kachinas, and much much more! On this web site you will find a sample of some of our many rugs available. We have great selection of items for sale, just let us know what style and size you are looking for.
