Name:  Fannie Pete

    Fannie is another one of our excellent weavers.  Her rugs are characterized by nice pattern work and an even design.  She is one of our best and favorite weavers.  She is not limited by a certain style or size.  This Sandpainting that she is holding is a remake of one that was originally made around 1970.  We had her weave it because it is a nice design and is not one you usually see.  Fannie learned how to weave from her mother, Bessie Pete.  She started weaving around the age of 14.  She is also the sister of Julia Pete.  Both of these girls and the mother are top of the line weavers and their work would be a fine addition to anyone's collection.
