Name:  Lilly Mae Joe

Date of Birth:  February 11th 1953

    Lilly started weaving at the age of 18.  She learned to weave from her mother.  The most common styles of rugs that she weaved were Two Grey Hills, Chief Blankets and Germantown patterns.  Lilly passed the art of weaving down to her daughter in order to help keep the art alive.  Lilly passed away in February of 2003 at the age of 50, leaving us without on of our best weavers and friend.
