This area's weavings are the most refined of the vegetable dye types.  These rugs incorporate intricate serrate design elements of soft, pastel earth tones of native plant dyes intermittently with solid bands of color.  Outlining the main design bands or in alternating stripes are intricately woven ticking and beaded designs, these giving the impression of fine embroidery.  Small amounts of natural white and gray wools are used within the designs to emphasize the vegetable dye combinations.

In recent years the design elements have become increasingly complex and the dyes more extensive.
